Install & enter your GUID
Install the module, then go to Settings → General Settings → ABN Lookup and paste your free ABR Authentication GUID.
Look up any contact
Open a contact and click "Lookup ABN". The module searches the ABR by name, shows matching results, and lets you select the right one.
Enable auto-lookup
Toggle automatic lookup in Settings so every new contact gets ABN, ACN, and optionally address filled in on creation — hands-free.

Yes. The Australian Business Register provides free API access. You just need to register for a GUID at abr.business.gov.au/Tools/WebServices — approval is usually instant.
Yes. The module works with both Odoo Community and Enterprise editions. It only depends on base_setup, which is included in every Odoo installation.
Manual lookups show a clear error message. Automatic lookups log a warning and create the contact normally — your workflow is never interrupted.
Manual lookup only writes data when you click "Select" in the wizard. Auto-lookup only sets ABN and ACN on new contacts that don't already have a Tax ID.
The module currently supports Odoo 18. Contact us if you're on a different version.
